Measure the furniture arrangement

A dining set covered as one group needs a different plan from individual chair covers. Include the highest point, outermost corners and any projecting arms or table edges.

Plan the way water leaves the cover

Fit, support and placement matter alongside the fabric. Low areas can collect water; discuss the shape and clearance rather than assuming a cover will solve pooling on its own.

Think about removal and storage

A cover should be manageable for the person who uses it. Discuss fastening, access and where it will go when the furniture is in use. Let furniture and cushions dry before enclosing them.

A few useful answers

Are furniture covers hurricane protection?

No. A furniture cover is not a restraint system or a substitute for securing or storing loose outdoor items before severe weather.

Can I cover wet cushions?

Allow cushions and furniture to dry first. Trapped moisture can contribute to mildew and odors; follow the material manufacturer’s care instructions.
